Role Overview:
The role holder is to manage and operate motion picture camera for video production.

Production:
- Operate professional video cameras for news, features & documentaries
- Operate a still camera for images to be used for publication & websites
- Discuss style of shooting & content to be shoot.
- Quality control: Drive good production values for picture and sound
- Post-production: Editing videos for conversion to stories for clients
- Ensure that the pre-production stage is adhered to – budgeting, recee, transport bookings, licensing, permits etc.
- To guide and advise producers and client services/editorial team on camera techniques and creative
- Maintenance of studio equipment
Team and Internal Relationships
- Ensuring effective communication with all team members
- Demonstrating an ability to effectively manage both upwards and downwards
- Demonstrates strong listening skills and is able to manage from the teams for work to be done
Client Management
- Liaising between client, outside suppliers and other internal and external contacts
- Create and develop a positive and professional relationship with your client and other relevant contacts
Commercial Management
- Develops an expert understanding of the Agency’s financial systems, taking specific financial responsibility as delegated by the supervisor
- Is responsible for ensuring that all estimates are presented and approved by client expediently and that no work commences without this approval
Talent Management and Relationship building
- Demonstrates value to clients and colleagues on programs that build rapport
- Responsible for effective team communication, both written and verbal, ensuring all team members and clients receive contact reports, briefs, market information, timing schedules, minutes etc.
- Delegate effectively
- Form effective working relationships with the team.
- Form strong and enduring relationships with all team members
Commercial Management
- Ensures that all work in progress can be reconciled and billed
- Ensures work is produced on time and within budget
Required experience
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Journalism/TV Production/Arts or any other related field
- 4-5 years’ work experience working in a busy office environment, preferably within the marketing/communications industry
- Experience of working across several projects simultaneously, juggling the day to day work in order to meet client deadlines
- Knowledge of production & post-production equipment
